  • ¾ cup vegetable broth or water
  • ¾ cup plant-based milk or cream
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Seasonings: onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt & black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, or tarragon), for garnish
  • Rice or pasta of choice (for serving)

Instructions

  2. Stir in sliced mushrooms and fry for about 5 minutes until they release moisture.
  3. Add vegetable broth, tamari (or soy sauce), and spices; bring to a gentle boil.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch into plant-based milk until dissolved; pour into the pan while stirring continuously. Cook on low-medium heat for approximately 10 minutes until thickened.
