Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon filets
  • ¼ cup white miso paste
  • ¼ cup mirin
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons tamari soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Optional: sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together white miso paste, mirin, honey, tamari soy sauce, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Pat salmon filets dry and place them in a glass dish. Pour most of the marinade over the salmon, reserving about 2 tablespoons. Ensure the fish is well coated and marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your oven's broiler. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated salmon filets on top.
  4. Broil for 7 to 9 minutes until lightly charred on top and just cooked through.
  5. Brush reserved marinade lightly over hot salmon before serving. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds as desired.
