  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by combining cubed peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbling. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, bread flour, sugar, yeast, salt, milk, cream, egg, tangzhong, and vanilla paste. Knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise until doubled in size (about an hour), then roll it out into a rectangle.
  4. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and peach slices before rolling tightly.
  5. Slice into equal pieces and place in a greased baking dish. Top with crumb mixture made from butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour.
