  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Buttercream: 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, softened; 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; Pinch of salt; 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, honey, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gradually add granulated sugar and mix until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter into lined muffin tins (two-thirds full) and bake for 15-17 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack before frosting with buttercream made by combining softened butter and honey with powdered sugar and vanilla.
