  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, room temp
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temp
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, room temp
  • 1 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp additional powdered sugar as needed
  • 0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • mini chocolate chips (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, vegetable oil, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full and bake for around 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting made by mixing softened butter and cream cheese until smooth, then adding powdered sugar.
