  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (to prevent browning of apples)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and core the apples, keeping the bottom intact. Drizzle lemon juice inside to prevent browning.
  3. In a bowl, blend cream cheese and sugars until smooth. Add vanilla, cinnamon, and sour cream; mix well.
  4. Fold in crushed graham crackers.
  5. Fill each apple with the cheesecake mixture and place them upright in a baking dish.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until apples are tender.
