  • 2 chamomile tea bags

  • ÂĽ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened for frosting
  • ÂĽ cup honey
  • 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Chamomile flowers for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a standard cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Steep chamomile tea bags in hot water for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
  6. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients with steeped tea.
  7. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 12-16 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool on a wire rack before frosting.
  9. Beat butter and honey together for the frosting; add powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth.
  10. Frost cooled cupcakes and garnish with chamomile flowers.
